The Who – some rarities

I’ve been listening to The Who a fair amount in recent weeks, in anticipation of the release of the expanded version of Who’s Next.

It made me want to go through our archives to see if we had some interesting and unexpected Who pieces to offer. As luck would have it, we do have four rather special items to share with you. We only have one of each so if something is of interest I would encourage you to act quickly to avoid disappointment.

Three of these were acquired many years ago from the estate of John Entwistle when they auctioned a collection of his guitars and other memorabilia. If you like the idea of owning something that was originally the property of the Who’s late great bass player, then check them out. We have two examples by Tom Wright, and one by Colin Jones.

We also have a very nice close of portrait of Pete Townshend taken in 1967 by New York based photographer Don Paulsen. We rarely see signed examples of his work come to the market, so this is a rare find.  You can see it above – framed and ready to hang.
