A photograph once owned by John Entwistle.

Back in the early 2000s we purchased a collection of photographs which belonged to The Who’s bass player, John Entwistle. I thought we had sold them all over the years, but what should I find tucked away at the bottom of a plan chest the other day but this little beauty.

Taken by acclaimed photographer Tom Wright, who went to art school with Pete Townshend and was the tour manager for The Who in the late sixties, it is a classic image of rock and roll excess, showing Roger relaxing with a lady friend.

This is a handmade silver gelatin photograph, on 20 x 24 inch paper, and we only have one example. This photograph was previously owned by none other than the great John Entwistle himself.
