£ 0 – £ 1,250This is the first of Jamie Byrne's incredible graphic novel album commissions, in which he takes a favourite LP and represents each of the tracks in graphic novel style. Jamie will create a bespoke original commission for you, focusing on your album of choice, made with a 100 x 100 cm image size (or a smaller size of your choice to suit your space). Each original commission is made on high-gloss coated aluminium, framed in a tray frame without glazing, and signed and numbered 1/1 by Jamie on the reverse. Once an original is created, Jamie makes limited editions of 10 with a 50 x 50 cm / 20 x 20 inch (approx) image and 10 with a 75 x 75 cm / 30 x 30 inch (approx) image. On Monday 8 December 1975 the first leg of Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue came to a close with the Night of the Hurricane concert at Madison Square Garden in New York. This was a benefit night for Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, the subject of Bob Dylan’s song “Hurricane”, written with Jacques Levy, and which had been released as a single the previous month. This limited edition letterpress print celebrates that concert, and features the twenty-two songs performed by Bob Dylan that evening. For this print we chose a green Colorplan paper by G. F. Smith - a reference to a background colour on a contemporary button/pin badge featuring Rubin Carter. The two typographic rules appearing at the top and bottom of the print are based on guitar straps used by Bob Dylan on the Rolling Thunder tour. The limited edition print uses a mix of fonts including the Slab Serif and decorative Americana typefaces associated with Dylan and the time; plus simple bold Grotesque faces used on boxing posters. Each print is handmade and the edition is printed in full at the outset. Prints are in stock and ready to ship. Limited edition of 150, paper size measures 13 x 19 inches. Aaron Meshon has created a special map of New York City for us, referencing important Dylan locations. Taking its centre point as (Positively) Fourth Street, “Dyland” includes many obvious and not so obvious references. The print comes in a limited edition of 150 individually signed and numbered archival pigment prints on Hahnemuhle fine art paper. The paper measures 13 x 19 inches, and the image size is 11 x 17.5 inches. Each one is made personally by Aaron in his studio, and signed, numbered and titled on the front under the image.
