Masayoshi Sukita signs the first ultra-large-format “Heroes” contact sheet

Here’s a sneak peak inside Sukita office in Tokyo, where Sukita-san is examining a 30×40 inch test print of one of the first of the pieces appearing in our upcoming exhibition of his work, David Bowie 1977 Iggy Pop.

It is a huge version of the twelve frame contact sheet featuring the image chosen as the cover image for “Heroes”. The monster size version that will be on the walls in the exhibition is even bigger than the one you can see above with Sukita-san. It measures 60 x 48 inches, and each individual frame is approximately 11 inches square.

Signed, sealed, and delivered, I took the big beast to the framers yesterday when it arrived in the UK, and it looks magnificent. You can see a shot of it below before framing. This one is number 1 of just 10 that will exist in this huge 60x 48 inch size. I can’t wait to get it up on the wall. You can order one here.

In advance of the exhibition, we are releasing details of a set of three limited edition photographs – See, Hear and Speak No Evil – which are available to order now.  Read about them, and place you order here.
