Introducing Harry Borden
It is a complete pleasure for me to present the work of Harry Borden to our clients.
Harry Borden is one of the UK’s finest portrait photographers, and his work has appeared in many of the world’s foremost publications. Harry’s celebrity subjects over the course of a thirty-year career have included heads of state, stars of stage, screen, sport and, of course, music.
Our launch collection presents a selection of images from Harry’s archives that capture the quality, breadth and consistency of vision in his work. These are available to purchase in signed limited editions, in a range of physical sizes. You can view the collection on the gallery website using the link below, where you can read the stories behind each session and take a tour of Harry’s ‘virtual’ gallery exhibition—an exciting new development in the way we show work.
The virtual gallery
Corona-virus has presented a number of challenges for us, just as it has for many other businesses. One impact has been to sharpen our focus on how to present an artwork for you in such a way that you can better understand how it looks framed on a wall, without having to make the trip to see us in person. To facilitate this, we have created a beautiful virtual gallery space where you can view many framed examples of Harry’s work from the comfort of your home.
Our new virtual gallery isn’t a replica of our physical gallery space—far from it. It is a gallery that we have designed from scratch and that only exists in the virtual world. The space consists of three elements: a large central room with high ceilings and white walls, a mezzanine floor accessed by a spiral staircase, and a smaller, more personal viewing room with a feature brick wall. You can navigate around the space simply, and click on individual artworks to view price and size information.
Collecting Harry’s signed limited editions
Harry’s work is highly collectible—and I’m telling you that as a proud owner of his work. Don’t just take my word for it though. The National Portrait Gallery has over 100 of his photographs in their permanent collection. That’s more than any other artist of his generation.
I hope you enjoy viewing Harry’s photographs and the stories behind them.
We look forward to hearing from you if you have questions or would like to make a purchase of one of Harry’s photographs for your collection.
