• The Lightbox on show in the exhibition is 180 cm x 60 cm and is 40mm deep. It has an integral split batten system for hanging. The image covers the entire front of the box with no visible frame and the edges are black acrylic. It is illuminated by high power LEDs through a dimmable transformer which has a small integral fan inside for cooling (similar to a computer) and can be stored in a cupboard or on the floor below the Lightbox. The Lightbox itself produces virtually no heat whatsoever and can be operated 24/7/365 if required, uses very little power and has a life of many years. Prices are shown excluding VAT. This is added at checkout where applicable.

  • Lenticular (len-tik-ular): A lenticular print is made by placing an "interlaced" image, (digitally cut and reassembled in vertical strips), behind a sheet of plastic with a series of parallel lenses or lenticules embossed into one surface. When the lens is aligned with the image, the viewer sees only one frame at a time. As the viewing angle changes, each of the images are seen in the planned sequence, creating the illusion of movement, depth or animation. Gered explains: "I have always been intrigued by Lenticular printing and saw my first example in New Yorks Times Square in 1965 when I was touring with the Stones it was a saucy postcard of a women revealing her breast as you tilted the card and changed the viewing angle. The Stones went on to use the technique as the cover to their Satanic Majesties album and after that I didn't think much more of it." "Then a few years ago a terrific printer I worked with asked me if I realised that you could now make huge 6ft x 4ft Lenticular prints and I was hooked. They are terribly difficult to produce and take several days to design but the results are incredibly rewarding and it is always a thrill to see people moving from side to side enthralled by the effects the Lenticular Dance! I have produced a completely new lenticular edition for this exhibition based on a series of portraits of Jimi wearing a hat that I took during the second session in March 1967." This lenticular is made up of the three images shown alongside, with blue Jimi as the image view from head on. Prices are shown excluding VAT. This is added at checkout where applicable.

  • Keith Haynes: Spines #1

    £ 0£ 1,950
In Spines #1 Classics, Keith Haynes recreates the spines of thirty-six classic albums. This particular artwork includes records by The Beatles, The Who, Sex Pistols and Blondie, to name a few. The starting point is Keith’s own record collection, which he supplements with missing albums he needs for the piece. These 12-inch sleeves are the source materials. Keith then researches all the historic fonts and uses these to recreate the spines himself to build up the artwork. This is not a photograph – it is a drawing that Keith makes from scratch, painstakingly recreating and combining each spine into the overall artwork. There are two versions of Spines #1 Classics: a smaller version with a 50 x 50 cm image printed on 66 x 66 cm paper, which can be supplied framed or unframed. The second option is a larger 90 x 90 cm image size (with no white border around the image) which is mounted on dibond and supplied in a black tray frame, ready to hang.
  • Archival pigment print with an image size measuring 15cm x 15cm on 20 x 22.5cm paper, limited edition of nine examples worldwide, each one signed and numbered in pencil by James Straffon on the front in the white border under the image.
  • "David-san came to Japan with Iggy Pop to promote the latter's album The Idiot - that Bowie-san had produced. The photos were meant to have a punk feel. David-san had asked Yacco to get as many leather jackets as possible. The whole session was over an hour." After this photo session, Sukita selected about 20 photos to give to David, including the Heroes LP sleeve. When David contacted Sukita to say he wanted to use it, Sukita was delighted. Heroes went on to be voted Melody Maker magazines best cover image of the year. "I was very proud. I am still very fond of this photo." Masayoshi Sukita.
  • This classic "Heroes" LP cover image limited edition is now sold out. The twelve frame contact sheet featuring this image is still available - for now...
