It is always a pleasure to put one of Morgan Howell’s supersize singles on the gallery wall – because that is the best way to try and get across just how incredible his 3D artworks look when you see them in the flesh.

In our Kinks exhibition we include "Waterloo Sunset".

To create this ultra-large-format limited edition 3D artwork, Morgan makes a painting of a cherished, well-worn vintage 45 in its original bag as the starting point. He then commissions a huge vinyl disk (approximately 27 inches in diameter) attaches the supersize label (created from his original painting), positions it in a printed canvas sleeve, bent at the edges to replicate the impact of the aging process on the original 45, and then mounts the resulting 3D piece on a poiished spindle, floating in a white box frame.

The supersize version is produced in a limited edition of 9, signed and numbered on the front, and with an overall framed size measuring 32 x 32 inches.

Morgan also offers a smaller "oversize" version, also in an edition of 9, with a different technical construction to achieve the 3D effect, and measuring 16×16 inches when framed.
