Freddie King, 1971, Northern Holland, on tour with Leon Russell and the Grease Band.

This was a strange place, a farming town in the far north. It was cold, unfriendly and had bad vibes. The drummer from the Grease Band was complaining that the rest of the band hated his drumming and theyd sent him to Coventry. There was a punch-up at a club we tried to get into after the gig. What a night! Freddie was a delight as a person and as a musicianone of the greatest blues players ever!
