Here’s one of the pieces in our Jimi Hendrix exhibition, featuring the incredible unpublished archives of Donald Silverstein.
When we were in the planning stage for the exhibition, this piece was originally conceived as a six panel artwork, but when we thought about it further, we realised that nine made much more sense: and if 6 turned out to be 9, I don’t mind. Do you?
The artwork, titled ‘If 6 Was 9’ shows nine very different solo portraits of Jim Hendrix. None of these images have ever been offered on the collectors market before – in fact they have never even been seen before. Produced in the darkroom on heavyweight fibre base silver gelatin paper, this nine frame contact sheet is being offered in a choice of physical sizes in very small editions.
We hope you like it.
