Here’s a first glimpse of something very special—one of the beautiful handmade limited edition silver gelatin Charlie Chaplin photographs that we launch online at 5pm UK time on Wednesday 16 January 2019.

This is one from the launch collection, a set of photographs from Chaplin’s 1921 classic, The Kid, and shows the cop, played by Tom Wilson, spying on the tramp and the kid, played by his co-star Jackie Coogan.

Made by hand in the darkroom on Ilford warm tone silver gelatin paper, it is a truly beautiful piece of work, and a perfect demonstration of the art of darkroom printing, made by one of London’s top specialist handprinters.

We will be launching a collection from a different Chaplin film each month throughout 2019. I can’t wait to launch the first collection—it is spectacular—one of the most exciting projects we have been involved in. It is an honour and a privilege that we do not take lightly.

I hope you enjoy it. You can read more here, and be sure to sign up for our newsletter to make sure you don’t miss a release.
