People might easily lose sight of the fact that there was another band operating in the sixties who would change the face of rock ‘n’ roll.

British photographer Gered Mankowitz photographed them in and outside his Mason’s Yard studio in 1965, in both colour and black and white.

This was the session that produced some classic photographs, most notably the Out Of Our Heads/December’s Children album cover photograph. Many people are familiar with the black and white session photographs, but what about the colour?

The bad news is that Gered has just one surviving colour transparency from that session.

The good news is that it is an absolute corker. Because it the only colour photograph from the session it has its own rarity value. It is available as a limited edition in a range of physical size options and would grace any space.
