Timing of deliveries
On average, a 3-4 week turnaround is standard for an unframed piece. This is because where you order something in a particular specification that we do not have in stock at the gallery, then your order needs to be made by the photographer. Rest assured we will get it to you as soon as we can, but turnaround time does vary from photographer to photographer - sometimes it can be faster than average, sometimes a week or so longer. Framing adds a further two weeks to the process.
If we do have the photograph you require in stock in the exact specification you have ordered, then we can get it on its way to you straight away. In practice, for an unframed piece held in inventory, we will aim to send it within 3 working days of receiving your payment.
If timing is critical, for example because you are making a purchase for a birthday gift, then please do get in touch with us and we can always advise you on delivery time on a specific item.
We know it is frustrating to have to wait for something that you have ordered, but can we please beg your patience. It will be worth the wait !
Delivery charges
We can arrange delivery for UK customers and international shipping for our customers outside the UK. Shipping costs depend on the product in question, and the destination. Of course if you are able to collect from the gallery, there is no delivery/shipping cost.
1. Delivery charges for unframed photographs
1.1 Unframed photographs for UK customers
There are no delivery charges for sending unframed photographs to UK addresses, whatever the value. We use a ‘signed for’ commercial courier for our UK deliveries.
1.2 Unframed photographs for customers outside the UK
As a general principle, we don’t ever like to charge for delivery. However, for orders under a certain size, the economics don’t allow us to ship at no cost internationally. To keep it sensible, we have set the threshhold as low as we can, so that we are delivering as much as we can for you for no charge if you are outside the UK. Here's how it works:
1.2.1 Customers outside the UK - Order value GBP 495 or more - free shipping
For customers outside the UK mainland, there is no shipping charge where the value of your order is GBP 495 or more. For orders of this size, we use a Fedex signed for service, and your unframed photograph will be with you a few days after we ship. We will give you a tracking reference so that you can follow progress on your order shipment.
1.2.2 Customers outside the UK - Order value under GBP 495
For orders for unframed photographs under GBP 495, shipping costs are as follows: Europe - GBP 25 ; USA - GBP 35; Rest of World - GBP 40.
2. Delivery charges for framed photographs
If we are arranging to frame your photographs, then there is a delivery charge ( dependent on size and location) because we have to use a specialist delivery company for our standard frames and not a regular commercial courier.
2.1 Framed photographs for UK customers
We can advise you on delivery charges once we know the type of frame, size and destination.
2.2 Framed photographs for customers outside the UK
If we are sending regular framed work outside the UK we need to use a specialist art packer/shipper. These guys are expensive. We can advise you on delivery charges once we know the type of frame, size and destination.We always recommend that you take a photograph unframed and sort framing locally as it will be much more cost effective. 99% of our overseas clients choose to receive unframed work for this very reason.
3. Limited edition books
3.1 Limited edition books for UK customers
There are no delivery charges for sending limited edition books to UK addresses, whatever the value. We use a ‘signed for’ commercial courier for our UK deliveries.
3.2 Limited edition books for customers outside the UK
For orders for books of £495 or more, no delivery charges apply anywhere in the world.
For orders under £495, delivery charges are as follows: Europe - GBP 25; USA - GBP 35; Rest of World - GBP 40.
4. Gift vouchers
Free delivery whatever the amount and wherever we are sending them.
5. Artvinyl frames
UK delivery: no charge.
Europe - GBP 25 (+VAT if within the EU) ; USA - GBP 35; Rest of World - GBP 40.
6. Tablets
Delivery charges apply for UK and non UK customers - charges depend on quantities and location, and are added as part of the checkout process when purchasing online
